Same thing like Tweets, but for YouTube videos
youtube videos are already well processed notes, made by other people, so they are very different from what we call Weblinks
would be really nice to have them as object type, and make collections within

Enhanced YouTube Integration for Comprehensive Note-Taking
z
zf gfzfgs
To improve the YouTube integration within our note-taking system, we propose the following enhancements:
- Playlist Import: When adding a YouTube playlist as a weblink, automatically create individual weblinks for each video within the playlist in the notes section of the playlist weblink.
- Video Transcription: For individual YouTube video additions, include an AI-generated transcription alongside the existing "note" and "web embed" fields.
- AI-Generated Content: Provide AI-generated key points with timestamps and an automatic summary/description for each video.

Embedding Videos
A
Ashwath Singh
Hi there!
When embedding videos in web-links it just embeds the thumbnail and title. I was wondering whether it could be extended to add the video automatically as well. This is since, it would help with note-taking as I often save podcasts (like The Huberman Lab) and watch the video on the page and take notes (sort of streamlines the process). Currently when I embed the video separately it adds two pages of the same video which makes it confusing.
Bit of a ramble, but this is something I miss when embedding videos specifically.
Thanks for your time!

hey Steffen Bleher ,
great to see this as planned!
– I hope the direction of merging, also allows for vimeo (and possibly other big video-platforms) to be included in that object-type?!

sort video links (YouTube, vimeo etc) as their own video objects
v
vision assemblies
it would make sense to give video-links their own basic object (video), instead of auto-filing them under a generic 'weblinks' category.
it would help the clear sorting of
• kinds of information
• media types
• ... and thus support the general but
basic principle of typologizing informational-objects
on these levels, which is the very rationale on which Capacities bases its primary basis / raison d'êtrepractically
, that means: all kinds of beneficial followup effects
for things like:• overview
• clarity
• findability
• sortability (also, for the last two, think of things coming like smart queries and their mechanics, which certainly would benefit from having video-objects 'pre-sorted')
I'd like to use videos here just in the
same logics as images now
(to which they are indeed akin in terms of media modality). i.e.:- have them easily separable;
- have ways to annotate them;
- potentially have their basic properties as (future) part of automated info-properties (e.g. length);
- see them in graphs, searches etc;
- be able to separately put them in the side panel for reference;
- easily put them in their own collections for 'outside' reference;
-... and still be able to link / embed / associate them into 'container objects' im settings
I chose to
;I guess it might become more obvious as case, once things like
the media annotation layer
are in real development... 🌱🕸️ 😃v

This is missing and should be already done!

We need this! Just as the X/tweets have their own basic object and don’t appear on the weblinks category!!
