Years before 1800 turn to 1800 in the date picker

So this request is a bit of a niche one but with the new date picker, any year that is anterior to 1800 automatically switches to 1800 when you try to type it.
To replicate:
- Create an object with a Date property
- Set a date in the date picker (eg: 01-01-1799)
- Year turns to 1800
The calendar is a very useful and visual way to make historical timelines so it would be great to have this work!

A more powerful date picker is part of the latest release. You can read more about it here: https://capacities.io/whats-new/release-40

I second this - which I discovered myself after using Capacities for just 15 minutes! Not very good if wanting to add birthdirth and death dates to many historical figures.

The developer also should change the "year" to a long integer. Many user would be happy! BC dates needn't be accessible over a picker, if this is problem.

That is indeed a handicap! I wish me too a date format working with historical dates like 2.600.000 years BC.

Franzl Zweistein: For this it's probably best to just use a text property.

Michael von Hohnhorst No, it isn‘t.Because of TXT is not so strict sortable.
pE.: 2.600.000 BC, 2600000 (without BC) etc.

Yes, I'd like to add my need to be able to date pick way back beyond 1800 please.

Dates fixed to after 1800 only - no use

Is there a fixed set or limit to dates before 1800? Can this be lifted?
Thanks.

I'd very much love to have dates and times and time frames before 1800 and after 2200 and the option to change the calender into a timeline view so that as a student of the humanities i'd be able to locate all kinds of people (authors as well as philosophers or scientists or politicians, musicians...), (historical-political) events and epochs with one glance (well you would need to be able to zoom in and out) at such one timeline. Studying e.g. medieval literature or antique philosophers or being a star trek nerd that would be truely a dream!

I'm facing the same problem, but for future dates past the year 2200 (writing sci-fi stuff 🙃).
