Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly Notes

I think it would be a great addition to have Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Notes along with the Daily Notes interface. For example, by pressing the number buttons above the calendar to create one.

Man, Capacities just dropped task management out of nowhere!
I'm currently using Timestripe because it fits my needs for periods notes and horizon planning.
But if capacities ever does that thing... It would definitely be THE app.
I could finally use capacities and nothing else, my workflow would have become simple thanks to the app design and it would check everything from notes to task even the ability to write daily and periodic journaling reviews.
Wishing for it with all that I can !

Periodic notes would be amazing without trying to hack around it, particularly with dates.

Since Capacities is time-based and a studio for our mind, this is a good way to connect.
We need direction to know where to go, but also memories to see where we came from. This feature provides planning and reflection.
This post was published almost three years ago. Is this feature in the upcoming roadmap, Beth?

Is this ever going to happen?

I want to echo Vladyslav’s request—this would be a huge improvement. A key part of planning and logging is being able to move fluidly between daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly views. Here’s how I imagine it could work in Capacities:
- Connected notes: Daily notes roll up into weekly notes as blocks, and weekly notes into monthly, quarterly, and yearly. AI could help pull out themes or summaries for reflection at each level.
- Roll up and down: Allow adding or linking items across levels—something in a monthly note could be dropped into a specific week, and something from a quarterly note could show up in a yearly reflection.
- Task management tie-in: When Capacities expands task management, it would be great to schedule tasks not only for specific days but also for weeks or months. (One thing I love in Akiflow is being able to assign a task to “this week” or “next month,” not just a single date.)
This would make Capacities an even stronger tool for both planning and reflection, building a true rhythm across time scales.

Currently doing this manually. Having a rolling Note for each week - H1 with Date of each day (for popping up in daily notes view). Wonder how this idea would create significant value..

Really waiting for this feature. I think that upgrades a lot the planning part. As commented Noteplan has implemented in a great way.
I hope this feature soon in Capacities.
