Yes please. I uploaded two .mov videos today and was surprised that I don't even get thumbnails or any interactivity.

Yes please!
Any update since 2022 on this?

really think, these should be basically seen (counted 😉) as one:
https://capacities.canny.io/feedback/p/sort-video-links-youtube-vimeo-etc-as-their-own-video-objects
– but would also be interesting – as this is marked as 'under review' to hear from michael_v_h & Steffen Bleher whether you seriously even consider local video upload.
while I am (totally)
not against
it, I am very aware this exponentially quadruples & explodes needed server space. after all 'video ate the internet'…also very-very similar to: https://capacities.io/feedback/p/embedding-videos
(– … which, taken together would push the request / intention beyond the '100' 😉 😅 🐿 🤭 )

Really hoping this comes soon too. Being able to upload videos directly is a huge pro and would ensure I stay on Capacities for good!

This will be perfect, I have videos that I want to add to my notes but I can't :(

Yes, we definitely have this on the radar.

michael_v_h Any update?

michael_v_h Yes, please consider this. I have started a new habit of Audio journaling, all thanks to Whatsapp and Telegram integration. Now if Capacities have Video objects (thumbnail and native player with basic functionality like mute/ speed) then I can record 1-2 minute video journal everyday and get it directly inside by Daily Notes.

Hi Kui,
thanks for suggesting. We will improve our media entities and will then for sure also add video.
