Shortcut for a quick note taking?

Something that would add a lot to this feature would be to take some cues from https://antinote.io - Global hotkey, context math, conversions and reactive variables would be awesome to have on a scratchpad / quick content capture.

I really LOVE the capturing feature of Lazy.so! One command from any app and on top you get the context (like the app, website, pdf or even youtube video with timecode) from where you made the note. Capacities NEEDS this! 😋

And same thing for Windows please

I use Devonthink a lot, mainly because the Devonthink Quick-Add tab lives at the bottom right of my screen at all times. I can jot a thought or paste text, give it a title, and save it to any location, right from within the popup that appears when I click the tab. I don't have to go anywhere else, and can go on with my work. Something like that for Capacities would be a game-changer, IMHO.

Mobile app needs work (quick add + performance upgrade)

The mobile app in itself is great to work with and a good companion app to the desktop version. However, accessibility (esp. now that iOS 18 with AI is out) can be greatly improved. One of the biggest flexes for any note-taking app is quick add - the ability to add widgets and quick add shortcuts to the "today" calendar view would be really cool.
A quick add shortcut on the desktop will also be nice. Just hitting a keyboard shortcut to launch Quick Note (similar to how Apple Notes’ quick note works).
Performance improvements (both on the mobile app and desktop; esp. on the mobile) will be key to adding thoughts quickly. I really like this feature on Todoist - just tap on quick add and it opens lightning fast.

Since I've tried this feature in Lazy.so I can't imagine not having this in Capacities, especially for referencing emails from Apple mail into my Daily notes.
In my opinion this feature should not create a new object with the content captured (like for weblinks) but simply add a deeplink with basic formatting to the source of the capture.
For exemple if I capture an email to reference it in a daily note, I expect to have a deep link to the given email with the mail subject as the title created in my note.

We just released our Raycast integration. It allows you to map shortcuts to commands to capture content quickly to Capacities.
It's not everything requested here, but it is a first step!
You can read more about it here: https://capacities.io/whats-new/release-37

Steffen Bleher- Raycast works AMAZINGLY well for this on macOS :)

Steffen Bleher Raycast is a good workaround for this feature but in the current Raycast integration I miss the context of the capture.
For example, if I highlight some text in a web page or an email and run the Raycast's "Save to daily note" command, the "Note" field is actually empty. I'll expect the "Note" field to be filled with the highlighted text and a backlink to the source of the captured content (the given web page or the given email), to be added into the note
