I still remember an older form of display of PDFs. while some things got better, in one central aspect there was a degradation, IMO:

while originally pages were firm in a column, the newer version shows 'floating' pages by default, that is when scrolling there is unexplicable margins, and the display of pages wavers when scrolling, taking along ones state of mind…

– I know this kind of behavior from some web-/browser-based pdf displays, but it never really made any sense, I think. and it even less does so in a document display context. it really just brings a wobbly feeling to an otherwise solid studio display…
