Slow response to type after copied in long text

I have just copied in a relatively large text from obsidian. When I tried to type a new block/paragraph it took a few seconds before the text appeared, this slow response remained

Hi Colin MIllard, how large was it? Was there any specific formatting or just markdown text?

It was just plain text split up into a few sentences divided by a line space and then time such as 37:09 then line space then few more sentence - repeating - 17,000 words - a few headers at beginning using markdown format
