The issue with supporting shift-enter on mobile is that many mobile keyboards activate shift for auto-capitalization, which then completely breaks the flow if one wants to work with blocks and can lead to confusing behavior for the user. We will consider making it a mobile setting though.

Michael von Hohnhorst I dont know all the scenarios, while there is no intuitiv way to do a Shift+Enter on a virtual keyboard, its perfectly valid with a physical keyboard. I don't know if there is any reliable way to detect if a virtual or physical keyboard is used. My issue here is that today's tablets are powerful and very convenient to use with physical keyboards, offering portability and productivity. Then reducing the experience to that of a mobile phone with a virtual keyboard, when you actually have a near desktop setup is just destroying the usability.

According to release notes this is now disabled on Mobile, however it seems to not be working, or its disabled, on Android tablet either when using physical keyboard. Disabling Shift+Enter for soft line break is not a solution, this breaks formatting. As an example create a Quote block and enter text. You are no longer able to have multiple paragraphs in a quote block due to Shift+Enter not working.

I'm seeing the exact same thing on OnePlus Pad 1 and physical keyboard. Shift+Enter used to work, but now on 1.49.4 it doesn't.

On my Xiaomi Pad 7, shift + enter doesn't create a line break on the same block but instead it createsa new block which is what enter should do and not shift + enter.
