Set a default template for an object type

It would be great to be able to designate a default Template for an Object Type. For example, a Meeting might have multiple templates defined for different kinds of meeting, but it would be great to define that the "Daily meeting", for example, is the default that gets applied to new meeting when you click "+ New" button on the Dashboard.

This will create efficiencies with adding new instances of an object. There are some details such as Status and Phase of a task that will always "default" for me when creating brand new Task objects. Having to fill those out each time to setup a brand new task is a lot of extra steps, especially when creating 10 new tasks at a time.
