Select collections as the fixed set multi select
planned

Add the option to open a list of collections and use that as the multi-select options instead of having to input all multi-select options and then calculate. E.g a collection of tags for status can be easily used across many content types and more easily input than if you need to add everything manually.

+1 one for this feature

just to add on: probably a way to
auto-translate any existing 'fixed set' of tags into a tag-collection
would help.either as approach to the fundamental issue;
or at least to 'save' all the prior work and structure put in 'fixed sets' already set up…

Assign Collection to Link Type when editing object settings

Currently when one creates edits the object settings, they can add properties and assign those properties to another object type. I think it would be great if one could also assign to a collection within a given object type. Here's an example. I have several collections within my Tags objects. I want to be able to create a property within another object that's only connected to specific tags contained within a collection.

I really need this. I have a Tags collection that is used across several object types for multi-select, fixed-set properties. I currently have to manually add new options to each type's property set to see the new tag as an option.

New to Capacities, set up my first multi-select fixed set, and definitely would appreciate being able to define a collection as the source of that fixed set. And "status" tag types are my exact immediate need. Glad to see this is planned, hope it's soon!

This seems like the only use for collections right now for me and I can't use them for this yet :D

I would also really appreciate the option to make fixed sets populateable from queries, to give more flexibility/automation than just collections. (Since queries are kinda like high-level programmatic collections.)

Yes! Highly Endorsed. I would say what is special about fixed sets is that it allows us to categorize things. Namely if I have a person, I want to categorize between different types of persons. E.g. student, teacher, leader, or perhaps by domain of expertise e.g. philosophy, engineering, design. Fixed sets allows me to create these groups of categories along different dimensions for different types of objects. Alternatively I could use a new object type which would be for example 'role' or 'personal category' or something of the type however this is more cumbersome and increases the complexity of my workspace instead of using calculated, defined, and editable sets of tags or tag groups which I can then use within my properties pannels within different object contexts to better define what I am working with and do so in a smooth user friendly way.
I hope I didn't rant too much but am very interested in your work and hope I can contribute to the best of my capcabilities.

that would be awesome, especially the scaling aspect of it
