Search Modal bug on iPad (can't dismiss)

I'm using Capacities (1.51.2) on my iPad with a Magic Keyboard. I select the search icon on the left hand panel, and the search modal opens. After that, there is no way to dismiss the modal (see picture). Pressing the search icon a second time will not dismiss it. Selecting an option in the search modal or something else in the side panel will not dismiss it. Disconnecting the iPad from the Magic Keyboard does not fix this issue either. The only option is to close out of Capacities and start again.
This renders the search functionality unusable on the iPad.

When clicking the magnifying glass icon on the left, the search pane opens, and then cannot be dismissed. It is impossible to interact with any element of the navigation bar or The content pane. Same issue occurs on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 And original Pixel Fold.

I'm using an Oppo Find N5 and I cannot close the search panel once it has been opened on the side.

Every time I try to use the search function, the app freezes and becomes unresponsive. I have to force close it and reopen it to continue. I’m using an iPad with the A16 chip. Please look into this issue. Thanks!

On iPadOS, the side panel (cmd-k) becomes stuck over the page. Cannot hide the side panel, much less navigate. Must restart the app each time. (iPad Air M1 5th gen). Update: To be more specific, issue is the search function (magnifying glass). As a result, I must use the object types to navigate.

Beth do you or the broader team validate these bugs and provide updates vis this ticketing system? I was hoping to get an update, but maybe that’s the wrong expectation.
