Problems with CSV import: hangs, failure to persist more than first file

I started to import 10 or so CSV files of 100 items each, one by one. After each import, I could see the resulting collection in the sidebar. Capacities seemed to take longer to process each file, even though they were each of the same length. I got up to the 8th file, whereupon Capacities seemed to hang/crash (white screen). When I refreshed Capacities, only the very first 100 items had been stored, despite the earlier visual feedback that at least the first 7 batches had been imported successfully.

This should be fixed with the new update. Thanks for reporting.

Thanks so much, Cameron. I'll look into it. The page freeze should not happen of course. I guess that's the main issue here. If this did not happen you should not have lost any data. Did you retry uploading a second one? What happened?

Steffen Bleher: I did try again, a few times. Even though I didn’t experience the page freeze again, I couldn’t successfully upload more than 4 of the 10 CSV files with 100 lines each. I can send them to you if you’d like to test with them.

Cameron Flint: That would be awesome!! Email: team@capacities.io

Steffen Bleher: Hey Steffen, just checking whether you've had any luck getting to a fix with this issue? :)

Guessing about the technical RC, it appears that the
/sync
network requests might have been happening in the background and were terminated by the page hang / reload. It seems that the data being posted to the server was in JS memory only and not persisted to a local cache (like IndexedDB), such that when the page crashed then the app lost its list of items to sync.
