When shift clicking on a link with the side tab open, it only refreshes the side tab as expected. When clicking on a link with a side tab open, it refreshes both tabs instead of the just the left tab. This may cause performance issues if pdfs or large pages are open in the side tab

Hi Scott B, good point! There isn't a simple way with the current architecture to fix this, but we'll think of ways to do this.
