OCR & Handwritten search

It might be a niche feature, but one that is not that common for PKMs, so it might be a good competitive edge.
Personally, I know I have a huge amount of handwritten notes I'd like to make searchable into my knowledge tool, and so far there is only really Evernote that does it (or Onenote, but..).

This would be an awesome addition to Capacities.
I just started using it and uploaded a PDF and Capacities cannot find anything in the content.
The thing is that our minds often remember fractions of information. If we upload a PDF or Image or Document etc and later remember a key word and not necessarily the title of the PDF/Image/Doc, then it would be great if Capacities could surface that information from a key word search using OCR to find it amongst these files.
Thanks.

Yes OCR of PDFs and images and including them in the search would be great.

I wish I could take all my upvotes and put them here for this feature. I still hang onto Evernote for my handwritten notes that it successfully "OCR's" so that I can search across my scanned handwritten notes. BIG upvote!!

Just to add to the twist : OCR with AI summary,
at least, if theres a rush or in cases of work and university part-timers, taking photos, uploading and then letting AI base OCR might be the another edge and win.
Although im still waiting for off line mode, in the mean time, if AI is what the founders are interested, then take it to the other spectrum and simply use AI for OCR scanned documents for quick - pre-reading summary

jr Leo +1 for this. I use Notability on my iPad and desperately need the function for handwritten notes with AI summary. Would make searching handwritten notes seamless.

This would be really big for me - both migrating from Evernote and using a Remarkable on the side for drawing/ideating/notes

I would like to see it - but for Czech. So, my hopes are really low.

Yes, please!! I'm just checking Capacities out, but for me it's immensely useful in Evernote. Pictures that include words (e.g., a hilarious T-shirt or meme), scanned docs (that receipt you snapped but didn't quite title right), handwritten notes: all searchable. Seems like Capacities' intriguing organizational system, which uses search in powerful ways, would be greatly enhanced. Hope you'll consider this!
