I'm brand new to Capacities having upgraded to Pro just today. When I get a new app, the first thing I do is to explore its Settings. I find that I learn so much about it capabilities that way. When I got to the settings page for Object Types, I was surprised to see there was no way to create a new type. It took me a few minutes to discover that Object Types are not created in Settings but rather directly from the main app view.
Two thoughts
  • Add the ability to create an Object Type in the same location where existing Object Types are managed.
  • Remove the "New Type" button from the main app view. I believe this to make sense as it would seen unnecessary to create new Types often enough to warrant the level of exposure the button currently enjoys. Further, removing the button (or exposing only on hover) would help reduce the business of the main app view.
