More customization/options for page width (normal, wide, full-width) including daily notes

normal /standard layout often seems to thin on big monitor (wasting screen estate / feeling 'thin') – while wide layout feels too jammed for me, as it almost has no breathing space (margin)...
... could there be an option for a golden middle (like min 440px / 70%, or any other middle)?
would greatly enhance comfort zone (and likeability of use :-) )

not sure this is still under review – as the flagging is 1 1/2 yrs old and was, afaik, made on a sub-thread of this merged post.
thus two questions:
1) is it still under review?
2) if it´s not imminent, would you guys consider an intermediate solution? (see 👉 https://capacities.io/feedback/p/a-one-click-way-to-turn-groups-into-wide-intermediate-solution)
thx for any updates! 🙏

Second the remarks made:
- WIDE could benefit from larger left/right padding (particularly on large displays)
- If left/right margins can't be customized (ideal) then please include an EXPANDED (semi-wide); when including multiple columns or tables the default view is way too narrow

allowing custom page widths (& / vh / …) [– instead of preset fixed width options!]

thus I´d strongly vote for a way to customize page width (maybe even block width) to one individual relative value (%; vh; …).
I am struggling on my 27''-monitor with having 2 page views / widths that are either too thin (content looking really, really
lost
on page), or too broad (content congesting the page by an almost marginless rendering, really awkward for anyone who has ever worked in print design…).what I am taking from that: it seems hard to do justice to different set ups by either 2 fixed width settings ('normal', 'medium' (block only) or an 100% (maybe 98%) setting (full width).
now, being in a comfort zone as to basic appearance / impression, and to some extent readability of the main object content in a given (overall variable) device setting seems to be important to 'fell at home' at ones 'studio', and browse things with some pleasing content…
also, I feel, this really touches on basic 'ergonomy' and 'base feel' of using Capacities – especially in terms of
making full use of the columns and all their functional / aesthetic potential
! (this does not work in any of the 'smaller' width compartments, IME)not being a coder, I´d think this kind of 'freedom' is probably rather easy to achieve as it is one CSS(?) style setting, resp. opening that for a custom value.
[ ! – there is already a request to have a mid-width for content, just like blocks. this is under review. but, tbh even this is kind of thin on a 27'' monitor set-up (https://capacities.io/feedback/p/mid-width-layout) – this might be read as an addition to that; but given the problems I am finding now in such a variable monitor set-up, I do now think a setting for variable / custom width is really the way to go…]

Wider pages

Please make daily journal and pages wider. They feel too cramped. Or give users ability to adjust width,

This feels so arbitrary, let us change the layout of daily notes.

You can't adjust the daily notes to wide view, particularly in the day view. I would like to see this feature please.
michael_v_h
You can already adjust the width of any object type except for daily notes (e.g. there is wide mode for pages).

Let's keep it open. You're right about the inconsistency

Steffen Bleher: sorry to 'stir' – but just to 'wrap' this up correctly:
I just realized, the access to the 'standard – wide – full' setting seems only to work in one particular context. From what I see, it is there (which is great!), but only accessible via the very particular pathway 'group blocks - edity styles'. i.e. it doesn´t work via (the also expected) blocks -> edit styles, nor via standard page width settings.
is that deliberate?
while I can see reasonings for such a thing, it doesn´t seem 'natural' to me. and a little irritating, as it really complicates the mental model of users (page width options ≠ group width options; group width ≠ block width; etc.)
thx for a little clarification here!
