Linking to files on your computer not working
closed

I can create a link to a local file on my windows PC, as described (https://docs.capacities.io/reference/basic-types/files#linking-to-files-on-your-computer). However, when I CTRL+click on the link, nothing happens (same with SHIFT+click). Here is an example link: file://C:\test\text_file.txt. Note that I was able to copy this into my Chrome browser and it recognized the file and opened it with no issue.

I support the issue
MacOS 15.3.1, Desktop app 1.45.22
First I struggled with the different linking syntax with Capacities ("file://" - with only 2 slashes), but fount the hint in the documentation - still - corrected links lead to "File does not exist"...

Addition:
found out that it works fine, as long as you copy the path/file URL with an app, which does NOT substitute a "blank space" with "%20". If so, it behaves like described, if not, e.g. using Finder, it works well (for me).
