Keyboard block selection seems like a better alternative to selecting multiple blocks by dragging with mouse.
But keyboard multiple block selection works with SHIFT ⬆️ for selecting but doesnt work for deselecting if SHIFT ⬇️ used after selecting several blocks.

Shift + Select by Line or Block

There is literally one single solitary thing that prevents me from using capacities... When I'm holding the shift key to highlight data, lines (or blocks) whatever and I'm pressing the down arrow it starts highlighting blocks or lines below the selection. Now when I press the up arrow, in every other application in all the world, that starts DESELECTING from the bottom. For some reason in Capacities, that means start also SELECTING from the top of the block. It drives me crazy, for all the greatness built into this platform, I select copy and paste so much, that this one single thing makes me continue to look for other solutions.

I've noticed this same bug both on my MacBook Pro and my Windows computers. It's very unusual when compared to how other apps function.

Michael von Hohnhorst Thank you so much considering this. Looking forward to a more keyboard-centric editing experience on Capacities.

yeah, this little thing can make text-editing life brutal. 🤪
– plus: it also doesn´t work in case one wants to select text 'downwards' and propagate selection to block level.
this would be the main way to do it w/ keyboard, under normal expectations…
