Issues with Magic Keyboard

Transitioning from Craft to Capacities. One experience from the jump that seems odd: I'm on an iPad using the magic keyboard, I keep getting into some mode (or bug) where I can't move or place the cursor, can't select text, can't type, etc. via the keyboard. If I use touch on the iPad itself, then I can get that functionality back with the keyboard. In general, though, using Capacities on the ipad with the magic keyboard is unusable. Hopefully, I'm going something wrong, because that is a show-stopper. I am running the latest version.

Enable trackpad click to enter edit mode on iPad app

TL;DR: On iPad with Magic Keyboard or external trackpad, clicking on text doesn’t enter edit mode—you still have to touch the screen. Let a trackpad click do what a finger tap does!
Body:
I regularly use Capacities on iPad with the Magic Keyboard (which includes a trackpad). Most app actions respond perfectly to trackpad clicks or gestures—but text editing doesn’t.
If I click on text, nothing happens. I have to touch the screen with my finger to enter edit mode first. Once I’ve done that, the trackpad works normally: I can select text, double-click to highlight a word, or click-and-drag as expected.
It would be game-changing if a simple trackpad click could initiate edit mode—just like a finger tap. This would make Capacities on iPad feel truly seamless and desktop-grade, especially now that iPadOS supports full multitasking and window management.
Thanks as always for your consideration!

iPadOS 26 issue with selecting text with external keyboard

Updated to new ipadOS 26 and i only have the Magic Keyboard to test but can’t select text with it, have to use touch instead, is this an issue that needs an update or is it OS level issue? Every other app seems to work fine but i have heard there are trackpad issues with the update, thought i would let you know.

Capacities App on iPad Pro 4th Gen - Magic keyboard trackpad doesn’t interact correctly.

When using the trackpad to navigate and place the cursor in an editable paragraph of text it will not ‘drop’ the cursor bar at that point when I click the trackpad. The mouse cursor registers a click has happened as its shape momentarily changes. If I tap the screen where I want to have the cursor placed it responds immediately. It’s as though there’s a disconnect between the ‘mouse function’ and screen interaction.
The same applies if I wish to highlight text. I can only complete this by using the screen interface and cannot use the trackpad.
Within the Capacities App the trackpad works fine for navigation and clicking on the sidebar. I can scroll and open Meetings but when I wish to edit the content (as described above) the issue arises.
If more information or a screen recording is required, please let me know.
Thank you!

I am experiencing the same issue with iPad Mini on iPadOS 26. Clicking with mouse changes how the app behaves. Pasting text does not seem to work, but text is there and visible simultaneously in the iPhone app. I believe there is an issue with rendering, if this helps.

Mouse click unsupported on tablet app

Capacities v1.53.14; Zeki TB330FU; Android v15; Chrome WebView v140.0.7339.155 (WebKit v537.36); Tablet (Capacitor); 28/09/2025 15:50:41; fr (Europe/Paris, UTC+2)
I've been using Capacities for a few months, with a keyboard and mouse (Logitech Peeble 2 Combo) connected on bluetooth.
I can't use mouse clicks for editing content on blocks. This includes selecting/manipulating text, moving blocks, scroll through integrated PDF documents (i can't do this with my finger either), editing code blocks, and click on hyperlinks or cards. I can only edit content in tables. I have to click content with my finger before editing with my mouse, but it slows down my workflow.
It seems to me that mouse inputs are captured by something above the area where blocks can be edited (because i can edit blocks / code when i selected it with my finger), or else they are not captured at all and only touch inputs are captured.
The app really helps me organize my university classes, and it would be really helpful if this issue could be resolved. Thank you for your consideration.
(Warning the click and scroll sound is loud because i had to put my mouse close to the mic so you can hear it. The little circle shape in the recording correspond to touch input.)

Text selection with mouse/trackpad on iPad

Text selection on iPad using the trackpad does not work. I can use the trackpad to click buttons and everywhere else except the content area of my objects.
I can tap using my finger and so on but the mouse does not work.

Mouse in Ipad

When using the mouse on an iPad, it doesn't allow me to select an area to type in or access objects I've already created. Last week it was working perfectly.

I have the exact same issue and was about to post a ticket when I saw this. Here is some further information to reinforce this post by Omar:
Model: iPad Pro 11-inch (M4)
iPad OS: iPadOS 18.5 (22F76)
In the latest version of the iPad app I can’t position the cursor in text easily with my trackpad/mouse while using the keyboard. In the past, I would click on the place in the text where I wanted to start typing or selecting, double click to select a word etc. This is exactly how it works in the iPad browser (as I type this feedback), so this seems to be the default iPad behavior.
For some reason, this no longer works consistently. When I click on the text nothing happens most of the time. Once the cursor is in place, I can often (not always) move the cursor to another place in the text with the trackpad/mouse. However, the only consistent way to get the cursor where I want it, is to lift my hand from the keyboard and use my finger to place the cursor.
So either restore this default iPad behavior, or if for some reason that’s not possible, the alternative is to use either shift or cmd click. Currently both of these work for block selection and you only need one of those options.
