Issues with Importing Readwise Objects in Capacities
complete

I want to search my Readwise or Reader objects after invoking the Import from Readwise function in capacities. I am unable to understand why I can see only a couple of objects when the 'Import from Readwise' function is triggered. When I enter something to search inside the available text space, I get the message 'Loading...', and then the process gets stuck there.
I have already had a conversation in Discord regarding this. Please find the latest screenshots attached with this message for reference.
I have also tried disconnecting the integration with Readwise and reconnecting it after some time just to see if that solves the problem but unfortunately it doesn't.
When I add in my Readwise object a sync tag, then that object after some time does get imported in my capacities page. So there is no issue in this process though.

Hi Sudeep Shroff,
We're having a bit of trouble replicating...
- Could you verify that the element you're trying to list ("Creative...") hasn't already been imported into your account?
- Could you give an approximate number of how many document entries would be listed by the import function?
Thank you! and sorry for the inconvenience.

- No the element starting with 'Creative...' has not yet been imported into my space
- It's variable. I've noticed that the document in Readwise that has been tagged with the sync tag appears in the import function search window until it is imported in the backend. Once imported in the backend due to the sync tag attached, it stops appearing in the import function window! Then nothing appears.

Hi Sudeep Shroff,
Could you try doing a reboot and attempting to import the Readwise document again? (Settings > Account > Reboot)
This will basically reset the application storage and re-download all content from our servers like if it was a new installation, if you're working on something make sure to do an export first in case the server sync doesn't update in time.
Thank you!

Thanks for your reply.
Done that.
Unfortunately, the issue still persists!

Hi Sudeep Shroff
We fixed an issue where "Loading..." would still be displayed when in reality it should be "No results found". You should see that change reflected in a future version of Capacities.
The expected behavior is that the import from Readwise listing will filter out Readwise documents that have already been imported, whether that's via the sync tag or the import action shouldn't matter. This listing is scrollable and should display all results (documents in your Readwise account that haven't been imported - or that were imported but have been deleted in Capacities). The text content in the search bar would filter that down accordingly by title.
However, I do understand here that a document that hasn't been imported yet is not showing as an importable option within the import from Readwise action.
We unfortunately haven't been able to replicate this behavior. Could you share examples of articles that you've been able to insert into your Reader app but without having them listed in the import action? Did that document have the sync tag applied? Have you been able to use the import function with other documents?
Thank you once again.

Almost all the documents, including the books and articles in my Readwise account, are not visible in the import Readwise function window. As I have mentioned previously, that I have noticed that the document in my Readwise account that has been tagged with the sync tag appears in the import function search window for a short period of time until it is imported in the back-end. Once imported, it stops appearing in the import function search window. After that, the loading message continues to stay.

Hi Sudeep Shroff,
Thank you for the follow up!
We would expect documents that have already been imported to not appear listed anymore in the import function, so your description would fit the normal behavior of the import function - with the exception of the "Loading..." message when searching the list, which will be changed to "No results found" in the next update.
If there's a document without the sync tag and "Sync all new items" is disabled, it should show up in the import function list. If that's not the case it would be amazing if you could share details about a specific document that's not showing.
Please let me know if all this makes sense.

Almost all my documents, books, articles, etc. without the sync tag are not being seen in the import function list. Please refer to the screenshots, and I will also share a link for one of them. I hope this clarifies what is happening at my end.

Hi Sudeep Shroff
Thanks for confirming what's going on. The link you shared is from your personal library so it can't be accessed. Could you share the source URL of an article/book that's not appearing in the import dropdown? Perhaps you've noticed any pattern in the books that are showing up vs. the ones that aren't?
If it's easier/more comfortable feel free to email us at team@capacities.io.
Thank you!

Nothing is showing up!
What do you refer to when you say 'the source URL'? All the books in my library are my Kindle books and all of them are not showing up!

Luis Martín, I hope I explained it well. Please let me know how to proceed with resolving this.
The new task management integration is fantastic. Please help me resolve this Readwise issue as well. Then, everything will be organized within Capacities!

Hi Sudeep Shroff,
We still couldn't replicate the issue, but added a few improvements to our readwise processing service, and also took the chance to add more monitoring so that we may catch was causing issues for you.
Could you please try the manual import again and let us know if it works?
Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience, glad to hear you're enjoying the task management features!

Good news! It is now working well. Initially, I noticed in my iPhone app that when I triggered the import from Readwise function, all my documents in Readwise appeared in the search results. I was very excited. However, the problem persisted in my Mac app. When I checked the web version of the app, it was functioning properly. Later, I decided to reboot my Mac app, and once that was done (Account->Reboot the app), it started working there too. Thank you so much! Now, I am excited to create my own workflow around this.

Is there any update on this? I'm unable to proceed with my workflow.
