Impossible to write text, the cursor regularly moves

Hello,
I am using Mozilla Firefox 110.0.1 on Linux
It is currently impossible (or very hard) for me to write text in a page, as the cursor moves back to first character every few seconds.
How to reproduce :
- start a new page
- add a title
- write a paragraph of any text. Like five sentences.
- notice that the cursor goes back to first character while typing after a few seconds and that part of the text has disappeared
- when that happens, if you do ctrl+A then delete, after a few seconds you will see the disappeared text appearing again
This can chain (you can have multiple "disappeared texts") so you need to ctrl+A then delete several times to really delete everything you typed.

Steps:
- Select text
- Press CMD + B
- CMD + → to get to the end of the sentence
- Typing
Result:
Cursor moves to the last styled tag
Expected:
Should stay where it was
Same with the beginning and any other styles applied via shortcuts.

Peter Tung I think I used https://ezgif.com/video-to-webp pretty much any video to webp converter will work, just make sure the size fits the limits here

This is very similar to my experience, on Chrome on Mac. I have not yet identified the patterns. But typing a sentence left out words, or deleted the entire sentence.
Very difficult to write if it keeps changing.

Yeah… this is becoming a problem for me. It’s the third time I wrote a complete journal entry and after a few minutes it was just gone. I find myself constantly switching to Craft… just to be sure I don’t lose that one thought. I don’t want to be dramatic about this, but this could be a deal breaker for me.

Hi, this might be coincidental, I had this happen multiple times before, but almost every time I had a second Capacities browser window open. Didn't interact with the second browser window (just had it open for reading).
Chrome Version 112.0.5615.165 (Official Build) (64-bit)

itsame markus: Yes, that's the issue. Having multiple tabs open creates some problems at the moment.

Thanks for reporting. This seems to be a Linux/Firefox problem. We'll look into it. In case you have other browsers on your device it would be great if you could report if you have similar issues there.

Steffen Bleher: hi …. I am regularly (to the point of ripping hair out unusable) getting this in safari on ipad - both in mobile and desktop mode. All at latest versions.
Seems so far to be fine on MacOS in browser and app

Grik LeGrass: Do you by any chance have multiple tabs open on your browsers? Could you try closing them?

Steffen Bleher: I started clean played around and after a while started getting the issue. I noticed that I did have another capacities tab at this point (not sure how I got that) .. (ill retest) - however i closed out - started again and gradually opened up loads of browser tabs as well as other apps and no issue …. next test ill try multi capacities instances .. watch this space…. tick tock ….
AND i return
This time i opened 5 additional cappacities windows and created and edited more text / objects / types etc … and still Okay … hmmmmm!
ill keep at it over the next few days and report back if i can make any sense of it
<< i did encounter another issue where. could not get daily not to focus from the time line … i had to go to day before and then navigate to ‘today’
