Highlighting text and then linking to object w/ `@` or `[` is broken in v1.44.4

Hey there! Just updated to v1.44.4, and I'm seeing a bug:
When I highlight text that's already written, and then hit the
@
or [
key, a small "search box" shows up. The search is autofilled with whatever I'd highlighted (like it should be), but: the search function doesn't seem to work at all anymore. Invoking this linking by
not
highlighting any text (i.e., if I just press @
or [
, no text highlighted) still works fine. BTW: I'm using MacOS.

I can no longer make block links to any object

After the latest update, the ability to put a link block for an existing object has seemingly vanished. I want to put an existing page as a block link but I can't. The only workaround is to type some text, link the object, then turn that into a link block. This is incredibly tedious. There should just be an option to query objects when you use the / command
Block Links in general need an improvement UI wise as the card views look somewhat awkward compared to how gallery query views look.

@ link does not work well anymore

When I select a text then click on @ to link it to an existing object, I don’t find any of the existing object I created anymore in the drop list except the few ones that appear in the « opened recently » of the search menu. I met the problem both in the IOS app and in the desktop app.

Creating Links to existing People objects with @

Why can't I link to a person - I'm highlighting a poet's name who is my person database and I can't link to him with @ -That's a point of friction. It would be great if that kind of linking worked - didn't it used to?
