In my MacOS app, using cmd+shift+M while highlighting (inline) will engage both the focus mode and make the selected text into a formula. These need to be different or some precedence without propagation is required.

Capacities curious about the reasoning here, this seems like a simple oversight that appears reasonably easy to fix & it's been like this for a year. if I read the blog posts right, the proposed strategy is to make simple features that work, so how does this not qualify?
At this stage I rarely use the focus mode, so I'm not personally affected and/or care to much - I'm more curious about the principle here.
Appreciate your work! Best wishes,
Johannes

Short cut CTRL + shift + M should toggle focus mode, but in Windows 11 shows in "TEX" formatting foor formulas. So does not work as intended in Windows either.

Steffen Bleher Any update on this? I'm actually not able to access focus at all via shortcut because of this collision.
