Folding Android phones should not be counted as tablets

Hello, after watching multiple YouTube videos, I got started with Capacities today on my Windows PC.
But when I try to install the app on my Samsung Galaxy Fold 3, it tells me that is considers this as a tablet device.
It is not a tablet, it is a phone, albeit one with a larger viewport.
If I close the main screen and use the front screen, it allows me to login, and says "Welcome to the mobile app!" -> Start.
I try to open the phone again and the formatting is all messed up.

I noticed that when I load the mobile version on different phones I get two different visuals. Like two different versions. Unable to see the calendar etc.

I would also volunteer as a beta tester for resolving this problem.

Thank you for taking a look into this!
Unfortunately the latest update still did not resolve the issue for me. I still get the tablet UI on my phone. This is really a big issue for me, because the app is almost not usable.

Hi Sumit, Familie Goll – we are currently working on better tablet and phone detection and will ship some updates regarding this soon. The landscape of devices on Android is very large and diverse so a solution for every Android device out there is a challenge.

Yes, for me unfortunately it still does

Is this UI still showing after the latest update?

In release 49 you announced big improvements to the mobile UI, e.g. full-width views and bottom bar. On my Android phone the UI still looks like before and not like on the screens shown in the blog article announcing release 49. I use a Pixel 8 Pro with the latest version of the Capacities app (1.51.2) and also the latest available Android version. Screenshots attached.
Any ideas what might be wrong here?
Beth
Hi, this is the tablet app UI which is showing up on your mobile. This shouldn't be happening, we'll take a look.
