It’s been over two years since we first asked for flashcards. They’re essential for so many of us, but it feels like the developers just aren’t into spaced repetition, which is probably why we’re still waiting.

I use Anki and I would love to have a similar feature in Capacities or a way to synchronise notes with Anki (bi-directionally)

Please prioritize this feature. I am a student and freelancer and for me regularly learning the content I am creating is very important.
A spaced repetition system with Active Recall Notes can help us a lot.
Some of my ideas for this feature would be:
- A predefined "Learning TAG collection" with levels of recalling efficiency.
- This TAG SELECTION would directly share e numerical value for the number of days that the spaced repetition DUE DATE should be set.
- This numerical value can be integrated into the DATE picker system (Future version with Task and Recurring features), which would automatically create DUE DATE and reminder. Also, it will show up below the Calendar side bar as DUE Revision TASK.
-- FLASHCARD is not needed immediately as INDEX CARD view can be easily repurposed with custom property display (hint or anything else) and a separate Query view pinned to show the Answers (Content) along with the Title (Question) of the Index Card.
So, just an advanced DATE property is needed to implement this feature. Later on it can always evolve with every iteration of the development.
Please consider the feature as it will greatly help all the users engaged with learning and skill-based courses.

Argumentation to the Capacities Team:
Why you SHOULD put the "Flashcard and spaced-repetition: Active Recall on Capacities?"
If my notes, ideas, thoughts are on my database and not internalized in my brain, who is getting new "Capacities"?
"Hey! I heard that you like chess, could you explain me how it works?"
"Of sure. Just wait I open my capacities here...."
------
Why we take notes?
A: to remember it later.
If we could remember everything, Would those notes be useful???
What if we could use technology to help us internalize thoughts and informations that we find important? And spend more time creating more memories, living more experiences....
------
"Capacities. A studio for your mind." - What if... We could make OUR MIND be a studio itself? Make it access informations that we want to. Etc.
(On a Note Taking App perspective) The most important thing for our brains is to put things IN, not put things OUT. We use a note taking system to help us enrich OURSELVES, not enrich our DATABASE.
We are HUMANS, not DATABASES of informations. As humans, we need and want to have OUR life information in our mind, not in our cloud storage.
If we live with the perspective of "gather information to put in our Capacities" WHAT will REMAIN if Capacites "shut down"? What remains if there's no internet?!
"Hello, tell me more about what you like..."
"oh.. wait, let me open my Capacities. Read those pages, that's the things I like".
The "OUT" is an natural consequence of the "IN". The more we read, listen, watch, see, etc, the more we'll be able to express ourselves, to put ideas "Out" and create new ideas. And we use note taking systems to help us have those informations "IN" so we can put those "OUT" when we need to.
And Every note-taking system is, first, a LEARNING system.
We keep notes so we can put it in our mind LATER. If I'm 100% sure that I will remember something, I won't take note of that. When I read my note, essentially I'm 're-learning something about myself that I forgot' or remembering something that I already read.
The 'network objects' system on Capacities is trying to replicate the brain network. But you know WHERE we have the best, the biggest and the most efficient network? IN OUR BRAINS!!
Will we, in the next years, want to AI to read our databases and get ideas for us, to create a post with our writing style or even create a video with our personality?!
Would you want AI to say for your family that you love them? To kiss your girl/boyfriend as you would do? To hug your best friend...
I ask you: if AI could read your thoughts and get better ideas than you, create better things than you.
So WHY are you here in this world?!
Aren't you here to CONNECT with other people? To SHARE what you've lived, you've learned? But how you'll suppose to do that.. Sharing your Capacities database?
Why are we trying to replicate very POORLY something that we ALREADY have?! With Capacities, with technologies.. Are we trying to enrich our brain our to deteriorate our brain?
If we want to enrich it, so why it don't have a "Remembering" system built-in?!!??!?!?! A SRS that helps you remember the information you've put there - so you don't need to keep losing your time RE READING it.
If I could remember all persons of my life and those relations, I wouldn't lose my time "writing" about those persons on Capacities. I would spend my time INTERACTING with those persons.
You guys are focusing on the "OUT", but should focus on the "IN".
"how to put your thoughts out" should NOT be the focus.
The real focus should be "How we make humans be able to remember information that they find useful and USE that information effectively".
It's awesome that I can type CTRL+K and search on all my Capacities knowledge base. But you know What can do this better..? MY BRAIN!!!
The REAL knowledge database is our brain. With it we can access information in millisseconds, we can INTERCONNECT informations even faster. (sympathetic system, connect a lot of previous information with our body and make we act really really fast)
If my notes, ideas, thoughts are on my database and not internalized in my brain, who is getting new "Capacities"?
We put things out of our mind and organize it so we can put it IN definetively.
It's awesome that I can see what i've done 2 years ago, all notes that I've created. But..
-> What I've made with those notes?
If I'm reading my old "me", I'm not WRITING my PRESENT Me.

It also be nice to have an incremental learning feature or integrate with SuperMemo.

I want flashcards like Remnote, they are very useful. I am using two apps right now.

Gopi Gorantala Same. Using Capacities and Remnote at the same time. It sucks.

flashcard like remnote or logseq
For Notion there is the chrome extension of Zorbi, it is really amazing.
It would be possible to use this system integrated in the app of Capacities?

Model like RemNote is ideal, but, like NeuraCache is good too.

Sidnei Neves: Agree! RemNote flashcards system is amazing and simple.

I like the way how flashcards are implemented into remnote. It is very easy to create flashcards out of notes or directly integrate them.
