Double click to select text does not work anymore

On the desktop app on my mac I find it frustrating whenever I have to select a small bit of text within a content block. Capacities doesn't allow me to select a text within a text block using a mouse – it always defaults to selecting the entire block. That means, I have to use the arrow keys to highlight the text I want to copy, bold, etc, within a block. This slows down my work considerably.

I'm not sure if it is the same, but a related issue I have on web is that double clicking will highlight the word and the adjacent space. This is a little frustrating because I add a lot to my Today using Whatsapp and then when I go to link things at the end of the day it ends up grabbing the spaces as well. In this example I double clicked "Jeremy" and it grabbed "Jeremy ". If I now do @Jeremy it would underline "Jeremy "

When I am clicking the word to select it, its not selecting the entire word. Only part of the word is selected. Also selecting the whole paragraph have issues. Its selecting the things we are not intending to. Please fix this issue. Also market your product more. Most people don't know capacities exist. If you can market it more then many more people would flock from Notion to capacities. Maybe post on reddit, Linkedin? Maybe you have done that already. Just saying.

Text Selection & Link Issues

Hey guys, did you change something about the text selection with the last update? As far as I can remember, if I double-clicked a word and then dragged over the neighbouring words it selected whole words. That's great. Now, it only selects letters at a time, making it a bit more tedious.
Also - when I select some text & add a link to another page within capacities and then start writing again, it often continues the link with it (as in, the new text is also underlined link text) which is quite annoying because then I have to go back and "unlink" the parts of the paragraph that don't belong to the link. Any way to fix this?

Following the recent selection change, double clicking to select words (as opposed to characters) does not work correctly. The first word double clicked on is properly selected, but when dragging left or right only individual characters will be selected. I believe standard functionality is to continue to select words when selection is initiated with a double click.

Same here. And I believe the original selection mode (before the last update) is the one that is consistent with that of Windows.

I experienced this today and I found it very irritating and annoying, to be honest. At first I thought my mouse acted up. In the end I felt so frustrated I closed down Capacities ... 😭
