I think it would make sense to be able to log a date range in a property (possibly built into the date property) It’s possible to make 2 separate date properties to do start/end dates right now, but some notes makes more sense with a range and/or multiple date selection.

Steffen Bleher Thank you for taking this up. Finally we can have a single Date (+Time) Range property.
I would also request for a visual time picker and natural language date indentification.

How to change the end date of a date range? If I pick one date from the calendar, only the start date will change, and the end date seems to change randomly.

I like this idea too. My use case is for the object type "Trip", which span a date range. Then at point being able to view that range on the calendar.

Totally agree!

Adding in my support for this also supporting a Duration calculation.
Current use cases:
- Tracking the amount of time I spend each week on various activities (personal, work, side hustle, family, etc.) to make sure I am keeping an appropriate work/life balance.
- Tracking duration of sleep and getting weekly/monthly totals.

It would be great if we could have a "from - to" date entry. Within this period, the "event" should be displayed in the journaling, just like it currently does for daily "events".

This is a real issue as even when having a separate date from and date to property the calendar doesn't recognise this and only show the event on the start date and the end date and none of the dates in between.
I like the idea of having a stand alone date too though. Feels like 2 properties to chose from. A Date or a Date Range.

This is exactly why I came here, to find out if this is already requested. The date range will help to create Goals, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly notes, and any other kind of planned activities that requires a period. This way, every object will appear in the Daily Notes as a reference. As I'm new in Capacities, if there is another way to do it, please let me know. Thanks.

Please add in the a duration function for the date, so that we can pick a start date and a end date, to show the whole period
