Database Loads are very slow, images won't load

The Capacities app seems to be getting slower and slower by the day. The Desktop app is even slower than the web app. Sometimes images do not load and the page needs to be reloaded multiple times before images load properly.

This is definitely not Complete I'm experiencing the same problem. My capacities app on Mac is getting slower and slower as I use it more and more. Now I'm using the browser version to speed things up (which seems to be slower than when I first used it). This is a bit disappointing coz I switched from Roam because of the "wheel of death" speed (but Roam is quite a bit faster after the wheel of death) but Capacities seems to be slower than other notes app as you use it more...

I wouldn't mark this as complete at all. The desktop version running under Windows 10 is so slow that I can't use it. I'm not going to sit here for 20 minutes waiting for it to load things. I then tried the online App version, and it seems to run slightly faster, but try putting files in and waiting, and waiting, and waiting.... Not for consumers who need things on demand or on-the-fly. Not everyone has 5G or super fast Internet. Not everyone has all day to wait for you to debug and redesign LANGSAM into some kind of functional system.

We solved the image loading problem with the most recent update. Slow database loading will be solved with one of the next updates.

Update #2: Speed seems to be solved but images still won't load properly!!
Steps to reproduce images won't load:
Steps to reproduce:
- Close capacities
- Open capacities
- Open database with image as a prop (which is not the database of the images)
- All images are shown as 'placeholder'
- Open the Images object database and navigate between 'views', this triggers a 'fetch' call it seems?? and reloads all the images
- Navigate back to the database selected in step 3, it now shows all images loaded.
- when you close and open capacities again, your back at step 4 😦

I can confirm the issue with images. It feels a bit as if images are unloaded when the tool is not in use and only restored to the cache after being downloaded again. I've also not been able to open the database of already uploaded images until I opened multiple other pages, which seemed to force a reload.
This seems to be the same with updates to the database table display itself. For example, after I set up new "People" objects on one device and then switch devices, those might be missing from the "People" list, although they are still linkable. Upon linking one of these objects, the respective table
does
update.Note that this does not only happen with new entries. I've noticed that the local state on some of my devices has occasionally reverted back to a much earlier state until I forced a reload. Also, this works the other way as well: I've seen previously deleted Tags
reappear
in the suggestions, but upon opening the tag it would show as deleted.Steffen Bleher
Fabian Schneider: Thanks for sharing. Your databases update on reopening normally, so if you navigate away and back it should update after a few seconds normally. Same for objects. They update once opened. We need to improve this for the table view, there they should update on open as well.
About the speed: This will most likely be much better after we shipped queries. A lot of improvements will come with that feature.

UPDATED: Seems to be solved when I rechecked the issue
--------------------------------------------------------------
Recognize the speed and image issues:
- Basically, a page with an image shows a placeholder for me, after clicking on it, it seems to 'trigger' a reload / load and only then the image shows
- On speed: imported a large markdown file (120 book annotations with generated a lot of blocks) into one file. The editing experience became noticeably slower, typing and backspaces experiencing some input lag.
