Just opened Capacities on my laptop this morning and the daily notes which I wrote during the last three days on my desktop are not synced.

Capacities App on my Windows insisted I was not connected to a server and stopped syncing 19/11/2024. On restart this morning I found 130 notes from yesterday have gone and objects created gone too. Complete disaster. I've carried out all the checks and am now migrating all material out of there.

This is getting really annoying. First I thought it is just a sync error or the notes are just not displaying on another device. But now I had the first data loss because of this. I entered something on a browser on computer A. On computer B (also on the browser) I could not see it. After entering something else for the same daily note on computer B the whole content I entered before on A was gone... Please focus hard on this error. Data loss is really the worst that can happen

Bug occured only after I created and used a template for daily notes, didn't see this being mentioned in the original report

I've had the same problem for a while now and it's becoming more and more frustrating. My Daily Notes are not syncing with my Iphone 14 pro and my Windows 11 PC. I have not tested web as I don't use it.

Of course i tried to restart the app and the reset in the account settings.

I am using an Android (Z Fold 4) and I am seeing this problem. I drop my daily note template into the mobile but it doesn't sync to web app or desktop app. Thanks for working on this.

i just experienced a version of this — the content added to my daily note on my iphone didn’t show up on my windows computer. the content from my phone appeared in the daily note after rebooting, but after about five minutes, my daily note was totally erased on both windows and ios devices. i’ve rebooted on both devices and nothing from my daily note has come back. curiously, edits i made outside my daily note did sync correctly and have persisted.

just happened again - i went to my daily note from monday 11/4 and found it was blank. i checked on other devices where i'd used capacities this week, and i found the same thing. other notes/objects created on monday are still there, just the content from the daily note page has gone missing.

Thanks for sharing. Daily notes are getting synced, but they don't get live displayed on other devices. We're working on a potential fix.
It would be great if you could share with us which devices are affected and if it happens when your device is not in an offline-ready state or not. You can check this in the account settings.

Steffen Bleher I seen this issue across all of my devices (ios, ipad, android & tablet, webapp) at one point or another. Any when I’ve checked they’ve been offline ready. I too will sometimes get duplicated daily note template in the single daily note. I’m gonna start my daily note on desktop app from now on to see if that helps. I think when i activate my daily note template on mobile first is when i’m getting the issue but i can’t be sure because its something i don’t and shouldn’t have to think about. I can force the sync by opening the unsync side and make a change in the side i want to sync and shortly after it will sync.

- It happens on all of my devices (iPhone, MacBook and iPad).
- It happens when those devices are in an offline-ready state.

Steffen Bleher My recent experience. I had two API additions to my daily note that I made on the 10/22 that did not make it through until about 9 hours later which was on 3am on 10/23. I also have an iOS shortcut that runs at 6am making an entry in my daily note. All of these updates were available in the 10/23 daily note on my Windows laptop that morning. I made additional updates to the daily note on my laptop. Later in the day I noticed that there was no daily note created on iOS for 10/23. This morning (10/24) the daily automated shortcuts entry was made and a new daily note for 10/24 was created and exists on both iOS and laptop although the 10/23 daily note is still missing. hope this helps...

Steffen Bleher same problem here. I lost data because of it last week. Not able to use Capacities reliably across all my devices, I cannot get my Today note or notes in general to show up everywhere.

Steffen Bleher Happens on all devices (Web App, Android Phone, Chromebook). Seems to be offline ready always. Sometimes I manage to let the missing content appear. Either through entering new content or when going to an object that is referenced by that specific Daily Note and then clicking on the backlink.

Jan Knorr Steffen Bleher This appears to be my exact situation as well. Two different Windows devices using the Windows app, Daily Notes does not sync. Everything else appears to get updated except that. I am using a template so I cannot tell if templates matter or not. And all my devices are offline ready. Backlinks sometimes solves the problem, but not always.

I'm having issues syncing across devices (from Mac desktop to Windows desktop, from Windows desktop to Mac desktop, from Mac desktop to iOS mobile or iPad OS mobile).
Anytime I use my mobile apps (iOS or iPad OS), I end up getting duplicated Daily Notes templates even though I am not prompting the mobile apps to add the template I have set up for Daily Notes. Sometimes the template duplicates 2, 3, 4 times and I have to delete a bunch of unnecessary copies of the template.
With the understanding that the iPad OS is still very much in beta, I've found the desktop and web apps to be most reliable.
