Create new tag in daily note on iOS not working

When adding content to the daily note, I use inline tags to categorize content. When adding a new tag to a line of text, the tag is not applied and remains normal text like "#tag" instead of creating a tag object that is embedded in the content. The tag will appear in the Tag object list after it is created, but it is not applied to the inline content where it was written/created.
Steps to recreate on iOS 18.01 and Capacities v1.41.15:
- Open daily note
- Enter the following text: "I want to learn about #animals"
- Select "Create animals" from the tag modal that appears
- The tag is not applied to the line of text, but it appears under the Tags object list. The content, including the tag, is still plaintext.
