API endpoint to create objects

Currently, I can only dump content in my daily page. My workflow would be really improved if I can create objects via API.
Examples of use cases
- I keep reading a lot of quotes from the web that I'd like to store in a quotes object
- Save a tweet
- Save a YouTube Video
- Save a book recommendation from chat or an article directly as a book object. Also true for movies and other recommendations
- Save contact details for a person
- Create a meeting notes object and open the page (from Raycast/Calendar) in Capacities to start taking notes

More api endpoints would allow us to create some more integrations with other apps like Todoist, make.com or Fibery.

I think I am going nuts --I started to create an integration with Zotero. I'm sure that last week I identified creation end-points and was accessing them, and this week they have gone again --perhaps I was mad last week?
Use case: -
- save and store in Zotero (why? meta/bilblio data is collected automagically from many sources and the attachments can be stored in cloud allowing for full export/backup of Capacities without the disk capacity --and of course the benefits of Zotero ;-)
- tag for export (I'll be using the web api, not local, cos it seems more stable, and capacities api is not local)
- run a python script to export/import and re-set the tags in Zotero)
done.

I'd also writing an apple script for Bookends. just how did I hallucinate the end-points? Maybe I am artificial?

Would absolutely love this! Currently only being able to send something to my daily notes is very limiting.

Agreed, the API is super, _super_ limited. I would love to see more consideration of it moving forwards

Almost a year since this ticket was created and nothing changed... not a single API endpoint was added ??? no mention in the roadmap???

Merged in a post:
Add more API endpoint permitting adding content everywhere on the app, not only in today note. It would be very helpful as the fact that entry data of second brains can easily be automated or adapted to the stack of the user.

Probably not the most common workflow, but I want to write something that I could keep a list Recipes synced from my Paprika app. That way I could reference them in my daily notes and makes notes around them since Paprika is lacking in that regard. I have too large of a collection of recipes in Paprika to port them over manually.

Have to admit I'm surprised this wasn't the first endpoint created in the API. This is on me, but I just assumed object creation was a given, now kind of stuck trying to figure out a workaround for 1,000+ objects I want to get into Capacities. Really don't want to have to use obsidian or Notion. :/

I am really interested in this too. I have been a obsidian user however I want to move out from it. I got to toy a bit with capacities and I am really satisfied with it as it match more my workflow.
However I want to import all my notes here and doing it manually would absolutely hurt me. For that reason I'd like to build a small AI agent that I would run locally that would categories and push my note taking into capacities.
Unfortunately, the API haven't moved much recently. I am willing to pay a subcription for it, but importing all my notes by hand is just too time consumming.
I would really be thankfull if this could be worked on
