Android Share Menu Not Working
in progress

I'm on Android 14, on a Samsung 23+, every time I try to share objects like links or images to Capacities via the share menu, capacities opens to my Daily Note and doesn't upload the object. Below is an example of me trying to upload an image, the end of the video is the last image I uploaded weeks ago. In addition, this feature worked fine before the last update. This is an extremely important feature to me as I upload myriad of videos and articles for review later and for content creation. Thank you.

I appreciate that you are working to fix the android share menu but it's not working correctly. here's a picture of what I get when I click share. none of these options pastes the clipboard as you would expect.
what I want to happen is to create a page or weblink with the copied content. ideally I should be able to choose whether it is a page, weblink, image or something else, but I would be happy with any sort of generic paste.

I'm having the same issue on Samsung S23 Ultra, Android 15.

It's actually the same issue for iOS. I've tried iOS 18.5, iPadOS 18.5 and iOS 26. I have the latest Capacities app version 1.49.4 on all my devices.

Same issue on Android 15, Pixel 6. Sharing a website, youtube video, etc to Capacities no longers attempts to create a weblink for the URL. Instead I am taken to the generic "create object" menu and the URL context is lost.
I'm force to instead copy the URL and manually create a weblink in Capacities. :(

Beth I don't know if this is helpful but I rolled back to 1.48.9 and I don't have the Android share problem with this version. I tried different versions and this problem starts with 1.49.3 and forward.

The same thing happens to me. I use an Android device, version 12, and until last week the sharing function worked normally from any application (YouTube, browser, etc.). Capacities automatically recognized whether it was a link, an image or another type of content, and uploaded the item. Now, I have to do everything manually. This was the feature I liked the most.

Not actively worked on, moved to open for now.

Hi,
I'm also seeing this issue on my Pixel 9 pro with the latest version of capacities.
It's very frustrating as I often want to use the share feature to quickly save content (mainly web links) to capacities for review later.
It has worked in the past but never seems to work for me any more.

I tried using the share menu and it just opens the app and does nothing. I am using a Pixel 9 and running Android 15 with the latest version of Capacities.
