Maybe it's just my inner monk... but I'd love to see options like phone number, email address, etc. that I can select for properties like person or company. I just love it when there is a prescribed field and format like with forms.
I also have a large amount of books and other items that I would like to save the price I paid for them.
Maybe you can help my monk who is addicted to databases, evaluations and statistics ;-)

Steffen Bleher is the numbering format tied to the language setting for decimals and thousands separator?
For example: Englisch/Amercian = 1,000.13 and German = 1.000,31
Or can I edit this like 12h/24h and date format? Otherwise I'd like to log a feature request :-)

Unknown User: We have this planned as a setting :)

Number formatting is part of the latest release. You can read about it here: https://capacities.io/whats-new/release-35

Steffen Bleher Hi! I came here searching to see if someone had already requested a phone number format option for numbers in objects. Unless I am missing it, the number formatting release you posted doesn't actually address this request/feature. Am I mistaken?
Currently, adding a text field to a "person" object seems to be the only way to add a phone number without it auto formatting like 123,342,342,3
Would love to know if there is already a solution baked in here otherwise. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback and ideas, will be added soon! 👍

And years, currently if you enter 2024 it would format as "2,024" which looks just weird.

Agus Lobster Yes I wanted a 'year of publication' field and I ended up having to use a date field instead. Problem is, a lot of academic publications don't have an exact date, so I often have to approximate at 01/01/YYYY or 01/MM/YYYY depending on if I have a publication month or not.

This is actually pretty important if you want to gain new users. Currently there is just no way to even know it's not available and is something that should be. New users, like myself, will be left searching thinking "this is so basic, it's got to be in there" only to find it's not. That "tel:" should show up somewhere in a pop up help note or something. I just spent a bunch of time searching for it thinking this thing is so advanced and that feature is so basic, they couldn't have possibly left that out, and yet they did.

Oh, I forgot to mention number formats like isbn

make a phone property

I like to see a phone property to be included, as it is possible in Notion - so you can phone your contacts from within your contacts or meeting objects.
Steffen Bleher
Thanks for opening. For now you could use a text property and add a link with tel:0123456 to it.
